I wanted to explain how piano is played in FCF, Free Creative Flow. Like any other FCF practice or emergence, a flow that is by itself expressing creativity in the sense, bring the new to be, the fresh. What's known in music as composition, for example, but not composition based on ideas, on rules, on knowledge. The now is the teacher and the now teach.
So, if you try it with piano, with guitar, with the flute, with violin, with singing, with anything, movement, your first question is how to start. Start from not knowing. Not knowing is the empty space pre-content. It's very accessible. It's always prior to yourself even, prior to your thoughts. So, you come to play, you want to let something new come out, which you do not know. So, you have to start from not knowing. And that start, honor the not knowing before it, kind of celebrate it, echo it.
So, the not knowing never leaves you. It's only a start.
And that start that came from not knowing, not planning, not guiding, become the base. So, there is the white page before, which is the silence. You only hear your own thoughts, but there is no piano. Then piano start. And all that, the start and that start, what I mean, the allowing of the flow to express itself and the first expression, that becomes your not knowing.
But it's not a not knowing that you ignore. You bring all of yourself into it. So, it continue to reveal itself. From there, you take it. Anything else other than saying start from not knowing is blocking the true teaching of the now.
